Two worlds, one family
Recent reference to Edwardo Palomo reminded me of his providing voice of title character for Spanish audio track of Disney TARZAN (Jane was voiced by Lucero). Noted subtitles in Spanish weren't always the same as spoken dialogue. I recall report I may have read in TV Y NOVELAS*, someone at studio who didn't know Palomo was major star in Mexico--and therefore wasn't familiar with his Juan del Diablo in CORAZON SALVAJE--remarking on his appearance, that he really got into the role. It's true animated Tarzan does resemble actor, but don't know if likeness was just coincidence or inspired by actor's real-life look.
Graphic novel/comic book which currently doesn't seem available for purchase was openly based on looks of characters of actors such as Guy--about the only reason I'd like to see it (if "ick" factor in story about non-vegetarian vigilant vampires could be edited out). But at least there's a couple nice video clips of Guy commenting on "his" character in books, Marco Robinson who I think is lawyer. Title of this post referes to song TWO WORLDS on Tarzan soundtrack written and song by Phil Collins in English AND Spanish among other languages). Wikipedia article says: " The album was a major comeback for Phil Collins, and put him back in the public eye. In the U.S. it reached double platinum status, becoming his best selling album of new material in a decade.
The song "You'll Be in My Heart" won both the Academy Award for Best Original Song and the Golden Globe Award for Best Original Song and received a Grammy Award nomination for Best Song Written for a Motion Picture, Television or Other Visual Media, while the soundtrack album won a Grammy Award for Best Soundtrack Album. For his contribution to the soundtrack, Collins received an American Music Award for Favorite Adult Contemporary Artist."
*(I've got collection in storage of about 40 boxes of both Mexico and USA editions of TV Y NOVELAS from last century--back when revista had much higher quality coverage of telenovelas than now. After this and other Spanish magazines such as TVNotas went from twice monthy to weekly like English language magazines such as US, they added trash to fill issues--I don't bother to look at any more even tho could read online library copy for free.)
