Rainbow poncho--"Fire and Ice" Fiesta
This pattern was designed to use Red Heart It's a Wrap Rainbow--but less experienced crocheters might opt for more firmly spun yarn. Tho I love color changing effect it creates, IAWR consists of 3 thin strands of thread loosely twisted together, so some people may find it difficult to catch all three with small hook recommended.
Yarn that changes colors add to interest, both while making and wearing. It's a Wrap Rainbow is not the same as even thinner It's a Wrap thread I've also used, purchased years ago, yet still available for ordering online. IAWR is acrylic and cotton blend with gradual blending of colors. My faves are the sea shades, but Fiesta colorway ranging from red to blue is very attractive in this design.
